SCHOOLS OPENING IN THE WESTERN CAPE

After some confusion with regards to opening schools, the Western Cape Education department made a decision to open 1 June for Grades 7 and 12 learners.  The 4 primary schools in the Dunoon cluster were well prepared with the correct protocol of santitizing, social distancing and providing masks.

The teaching staff and principals welcomed the Gr 7 learners to continue their education after a very long break.  Learners were briefed and signs were clear and easy to follow.  We hope to welcome some of our Yeboneers on a voluntary basis to the schools, to assist with the learners.  This will happen under strict guidance from the educators.  We look forward to seeing learners from all grades returning to school, with a phased-in approach.
