To our broader Rogz community

After a week of devastating looting and violence in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng in South Africa, our thoughts are with everyone who experienced the events first-hand. As communities stand together and rebuild, we want to reach out in solidarity with those who were victims. Inspired by Gandhi’s statement, “You must be the change you want to see in the world”, Rogz, via Rogz Academy, is donating R100 000 to SA Harvest, a registered food rescue and distribution platform in South Africa.

We are moved by the many people who have jumped in to be a part of the solution. When Rogz started in 1995, our energy went into building a company from scratch to a stable position where the company could do more than sell the world’s coolest pet gear. In this light, Rogz Academy was registered in 2016 empowering communities through education, youth development and nutrition.

Rogz salutes everyone participating in the rebuilding process and we would like to put our weight behind those doing the hard yards at the coal face. Therefore, we invite the broader Rogz community, whether in your private capacity or as an organization, to join us in this initiative so that we can amplify our impact.

Rogz Academy is an audited non-profit organization (NPO) and we will ensure that 100% of your contributions, of any size with SA Harvest as a reference, will be transferred directly to SA Harvest to provide food relief. Details as follows:

In addition to the above, Rogz also donated R100 000 worth of pet gear accessories to shelters and animal welfares in the provinces who have been severely affected by the violence.

Let’s conquer these challenges and help rebuild our society together.

In the spirit of Ubuntu,

Your Rogz Family

International Literacy day

On the 8th of September we celebrated International Literacy day.  Our volunteers read stories to learners to encourage reading.  See some photo’s from Silverleaf Primary below.  It is so important to find time to read and to the encourage the love of books as this is the pathway to knowledge.
