Who we are
Rogz was founded in 1995 by two proudly South African locals on the beachfront in Cape Town. We are now a globally recognized brand that designs, manufactures, and distributes pet gear to over 90 countries including Australia. Rogz pet gear is safe and trusted, connecting humans to their pets with a variety of functional and high-quality products.
Our non-profit organisation, Rogz Academy is also empowering local communities in the spirit of ubuntu through Education, Youth Development and Nutrition for a sustainable future together. Rogz distributes to Australia through Time Pet. Time Pet began its journey in 2000 as the sole distributor of Rogz in Australia. Back then they were based in Australia’s nation capital and known as Rogz Australia. Our philosophy is, and has always been, to have fun. In 2001 it changed names to Time Pet Products. The noughties were exciting times for the business winning prestigious awards and relocating north to the sunny Gold Coast.
“Rogz is a truly South African story of hope,” says co-founders Paul Fuller and Irené Raubenheimer. “As a city and a country we have a lot to offer the international market. We’ve got a unique DNA, a flavour, and a culture that people really love. A lot of our international customers return to do business with us in Cape Town because we are creating hope for the future and inspiring people.“
On 9 September 2021, Rogz won “Brand of the Year” Global award at the World Branding Awards 2021-2022 Animalis Awards Ceremony. More than 1100 brands were nominated by the public but only 28 brands received global tier status which is presented to truly international brands that have a presence in 10 or more countries, on three or more continents, on three or more continents, including Australia and South Africa.
At the virtual black-tie event, our cofounders accepted the award, see video below, but a special disclaimer needs to be made: “For those of you who know us from the pet industry, you’ve never seen us in suits before and you never going to see it again either…!” says Irené Raubenheimer and Paul Fuller, cofounders and directors of Rogz.

Our global footprint
Rogz World Headquarters is in Cape Town, South Africa. However, we distribute to over 90 countries in 5 continents around the world including Australia where our distributor, Time Pet is located on the sunny Gold Coast, leaving our unique footprint for everyone to enjoy!

Rogz has a staff compliment of around 260 employees, 40 of whom have been with the company for more than 20 years. Our ongoing success in Australia stems from working with the dedicated and professional staff at Time Pet.
